The switch to modern LED technology was long overdue, as the old mercury vapor lamps will be banned in the near future for environmental reasons.
The LED lighting now guarantees 100% illumination of the two training pitches, which significantly improves training conditions. In addition, floodlit games can now also be played on the third pitch.
National Climate Protection Initiative
Since 2008, the Federal Environment Ministry has been initiating and promoting numerous projects through the National Climate Protection Initiative that contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Its programs and projects cover a broad spectrum of climate protection activities: from the development of long-term strategies to concrete assistance and investment support measures. This diversity is a guarantee for good ideas. The National Climate Protection Initiative helps to anchor climate protection locally. Consumers benefit from it, as do companies, municipalities and educational institutions.
Funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety based on a resolution of the German Bundestag.
The board of SV Zeitlarn Florian Bucher gave the Bundestag member for the city and district of Regensburg Peter Aumer and interested local councilors a tour of the sports field. The focus of Aumer's visit was the inspection of the floodlight system at the sports field, which was completed in August. Bucher presented this competently and was enthusiastic about the improvements in energy savings and lighting in the implementation of the project. The representative also looked at the curling rinks, which were renovated around four years ago, the 3-a-side pitch for youth soccer, which was renovated in 2019/2020, as well as the centerball facility and the new water connection from REWAG. At the centerball, Aumer couldn't resist taking a shot himself.
The visit came about because the federal government is providing a subsidy of 35 percent of the total cost of the new floodlight system and Aumer therefore wanted to find out more about the use of funds and the project process on site.
In this context, SV Zeitlarn would like to thank
Many thanks to REWAG for the renewed and improved water connection at the access to the sports grounds in September.
Zeitlarn. The members of the Zeitlarn sports club looked back on two challenging years at the annual general meeting last Friday evening. The two suspensions of all games and training operations last year and the temporary resumption of sports operations under very strict guidelines were a challenge for everyone involved. "A huge thank you goes to all members who have remained loyal to the club during this extraordinary time and adapted to the year," says the chairman of the main club, Florian Bucher. There has been no loss of members due to the exceptional situation, he adds proudly. With almost 700 members and around 70 active trainers and supervisors in seven departments, the club is in excellent shape. A lot has also happened externally in the past two years. There have been several work assignments to maintain the sports grounds, including the renovation of the football training ground, the renewal of the floodlight system and the creation of a new connection for irrigation.
"Many thanks to all the board members who do so much for the club in the background," says Bucher. Thanks to the great help, the club has an excellent website and is always present on social media and in the newsletter. "A big thank you also goes to all the members who continue to volunteer for the club. That is not a given," says Bucher. He himself would be stepping down from his position today after three years due to time constraints and would no longer be available for election as a board member. "As the club is very close to my heart, I will of course continue to support the board," says Bucher.
After honoring Peter Bosl and Eduard Schmid for over 30 years of voluntary work at SVZ, there was a review of the individual departments.
Both the football and the tennis, table tennis and curling departments resumed their games and training last summer and this year under all necessary and prescribed hygiene guidelines. "Many thanks to all departments for the great effort and careful handling," said Bucher.
The women's gymnastics classes are also taking place again under the hygiene guidelines. Children's gymnastics and ski courses have been suspended since the beginning of the pandemic, but the two departments hope to continue at the end of the year.
All department heads thanked Bucher in detail for his consistently flawless cooperation. His outstanding work and tireless commitment to the club are definitely "worth a huge round of applause," said second board member Peter Kröninger. He is also not standing for re-election, but promises his support. The new elections are expected to take place again in November in the sports center. "I can also guarantee the future board the full support of the community," said Mayor Andrea Dobsch. It is a position with many tasks and high demands, but also with enormous recognition.
Youth work: In all departments, great attention is paid to young talent. There is a lot on offer for the youth of the SVZ.
Success: The points season also went very well in many departments. The women's team in the curling department was promoted to the Bavarian League.
Club clothing: The new club collection will be available on the SVZ website from November.
